The Glow bar (Globar) is a typical infrared source for the THz researcher. The heating element itself is very low cost, allowing researchers to use them without worry about replacing expensive bulbs or components. The majority of the price for this unit consists of the water cooling (required for vacuum operation), large reflector to efficiently collect the radiation, and housing designed to withstand the high level of vacuum required for THz operation.
This model is specifically designed to mount to the optional External Input Port of the SPS300. If you wish to use a completed Globar unit for your own applications, please speak with a Technical Support specialist.
Please note that this device requires water cooling to operate under vacuum and includes all the lines, but not the water recirculator itself. If purchased as part of a complete SPS300 system, it is included.

The 9030DS consists of two 100 mm scanning monochromators placed in series in subtractive mode. Bandpass is determined by the width of an intermediate slit, but the 9030DS has a net output dispersion of zero because the monochromators are optically coupled so that the dispersion of the second grating cancels that of the first. This leads to homogenized wavelengths at the output port - there is no spectrum, only a single undispersed slit image - which allows the unit to act as a tunable bandpass or notch filter.
Stray light of all sorts is drastically reduced in a double monochromator, and in the 9030DS it is further minimized by the use of concave holographic gratings. It is ideal for applications where stray light is a problem - where there may be a strong scattered background, such as in spectroradiometry, Raman or UV measurements of solar radiation.
This price includes a standard set of slits including a standard intermediate (inverted) slit, but does not include gratings. We also offer customized intermediate (inverted) slits; please speak with your authorized Sciencetech technical support staff member.

Sciencetech’s FSSC flash solar simulator is designed to illuminate small photovoltaic devices up to 5cm × 5cm in size with up to 4000 Suns peak intensity. The default spectral match is to ASTM AM1.5G, using a heavy-duty xenon flash lamp and spectral filtering. The flash is 500µs at 90% of peak intensity, and 2.5ms at 50% of peak intensity, but pulse stretching options are available for longer, flatter pulses (purchased separately). The uniformity of the system is better than 2% at the target plane.

This product includes a flash system, power supply, and lamp. Air mass filters are sold separately (AM1.5G). Other filters are available at additional cost. Available accessories include IV measurement systems, pre-configured host computers, and sample holding and cooling options.

The Sciencetech 9055F is a 250 mm focal length modified Czerny-Turner monochromator, with a flat field output for spectrograph use. This is designed as a faster version of the 9055 with larger optics for higher light throughput and f/2.5 aperture. All 9055Fs have a computer controlled, motorized turret for automatic grating and wavelength selection. Both input and output ports are situated on the front faceplate of the monochromator/spectrograph, and the system includes one adjustable SS80 slit at the input port. The 9055F supports up to two 64 x 64 mm (clear aperture) gratings.

This vertical stand enables high powered fully reflective solar simulators to project their output beam downwards onto a horizontal illumination table which makes it ideal for solar cell testing. The beam is projected down onto a built-in sample platform where the sample such as a solar cell is placed. The stand assures the distance between the output port of the solar simulator to the sample platform produces exactly 1 SUN intensity (100mW/cm2 using an AM1.5G filter).
